Two friends who were on a journey through the desert. Together they endured everything but at some point they had a heated argument that one got so mad and hit the other in the face. The one who got slapped was really hurt. You could trace the palm marks clearly on his face, but without saying anything, he wrote
on the sand, "Today my best friend slapped me in the face."
on the sand, "Today my best friend slapped me in the face."
And together they kept walking as if nothing had happened until they got to an oasis where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped accidentally got stuck in the mud and started drowning but the other saved him. After he recovered from the shock, he wrote on a stone,
"Today my best friend saved my life."
"Today my best friend saved my life."
The friend who had slapped and saved him asked him,
"After I hurt you, you wrote on the sand and now that I rescued you, you now write on a stone... Why?"
The other Friend replied..,
"When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where the winds of forgiveness can erase it, but when someone does something good to us we must engrave it a stone where no wind can erase it"
MORAL:
May we always remember to engrave the good deed from our friends for everyone to see, Forever!
